Each month we take a trip to Ohio to pick up our furniture items. Then we spend the following few days packing up all our custom furniture (to be shipped all over the country) and pre-packaging all the stock items (that we offer as quick ship options).
FedEx isn't very happy with us the Monday after our pickup!
While we don't actually make the furniture we sell, we are very involved in the design process. Our Ohio trips are pivotal in building strong relationships with our Amish woodworkers so that we can create a unique product selection that can't be found anywhere else.
This particular time, our oldest son went out on the trip. Whether our boys go out or not they are usually involved in the unloading & packaging upon our return.
While we don't get to personally deliver many of our items, we were able to deliver a barrel table & chairs to a customer in Horseheads, New York.
We passed the nice rustic red barn (at the top of this page) on route to our customer. As you can see, it snowed during our trip... we can't seem to avoid that this time of year!
