Wormy Figured Maple, also known as Ambrosia Maple, is maple wood that's carefully selected for its mineral streaks and color variations left by the Ambrosia Beetle. In its quest to simply survive, this particular beetle tunnels itself through the wood and deposits a fungus that ends up causing the beautiful discoloration and graceful lines in the grain of the wood. What's left are striking shades of color from light cream to tan to dark, rich brown that add to the incredible rustic beauty of the wood.
