A blanket storage chest (which can also be referred to as a hope chest, trunk, or cedar chest) is made with clean lines and is usually used to store many items like linens, toys, pillows, personal belongings, clothes, etc. In addition, they can also be used in many different areas in your home including bedrooms, children's rooms, or in your entryway.

How big should a blanket chest be?

A storage chest can range from large or small depending on the space available and what your needs may be.

How many standard sizes are for blanket chests?

Our standard sizes for the chests are 24", 30", or 36". However, you can also customize the chest size. Schedule a design appointment if you're looking for a different size

Where to put a blanket chest?

They can be placed at the foot of your bed, living room, playroom, or even your entryway. Some of our customers even use their blanket chest as a coffee table!

How long do blanket storage chests last?

How to childproof a blanket chest?

All of our chests (including our cedar chests) have anti-slam hinges to avoid hurting any fingers! If you're looking for something that locks, we recommend getting our cedar chests that include a lock and key.

What should you not put in a chest?

We recommend not storing photos in our chests as they may get damaged over time. We also do not recommend storing artwork, books, or batteries. This is not a complete list, so please contact us with any specific questions.
