Cottage? Traditional? Other?) Where will your furniture piece be used? What goals and dreams do you hope to meet with a custom piece? Are there any limitations for you, your family, or your room? Feel free to share your ideas and inspirations with us.
Determine Your Specifications
We can help you design your custom furniture item from the ground up or make adjustments and changes to an existing product. We'll walk with you through all of your options including wood types, finishes, dimensions, etc., and communicate with you through every step.
Well Worth the Wait
It's easy to get a little bit anxious when you're really excited, but anything well-made takes times. Custom tables can take up to 18 weeks from design to delivery; longer for unique tables. But our customers have said their finished product was well worth the wait!
Our Story
Meet the Smith Family. Kerry started the business in 2007 when her boys were small. As the boys grew, the business grew too, so Shaun joined the team full-time in 2019, bringing his areas of expertise to help with the expansion.
In keeping with Kerry’s family tradition of a welcoming red door, our name serves as an ever-present reminder of our goal to help customers create welcoming gathering places in their homes with heirloom-quality furniture.

Each furniture piece is different, but generally, it will take about 12-18 weeks for your item to be designed, delivered, and set up in your home. We stay in close communication with you throughout the process. During your design appointment, we will give you an estimated time of delivery so you'll have plenty of time to get your home ready for your custom furniture piece's arrival.
Yes! Our Amish craftsmen use only genuine reclaimed wood from old barns or factories—not a veneer or another look-alike wood made to resemble old wood. Most of the reclaimed wood is oak; however, old-growth pine (an alternatively used wood) is naturally petrified through the aging process which makes them both suitable wood choices for furniture. Constructing pieces from reclaimed wood includes a more involved and rigorous process of selection and hand planing, but the results speak for themselves. Each magnificently smooth-surfaced creation, with its delicately exposed wood grain, becomes a prized possession to its owner. As you can see, we take pride in the quality craftsmanship and attention to detail that’s seen in each product we offer.
We only go to homes in very rare situations. For example, if the home is very close to our business or if it’s a larger project, then we do make house calls. In some instances, we may need to come and measure (specifically for countertops) to ensure we get the exact dimensions. In most cases, we can accomplish what is needed with photos and dimensions of your space.
Most of our hand-welded, American-Steel bases are interchangeable depending on the style of the table. However, if you have an idea for a custom base, we can probably make it! We also have expert designers who can give unique, one-of-a-kind ideas for your base.
We are furniture designers and pride ourselves in offering unique designs that you won't easily find elsewhere. While we do make a few things, we also work with several woodworkers throughout the US, most of whom are Amish. They build each piece to heirloom quality with materials sourced from the USA. This allows us to focus on selling high-quality furniture and keeping a good supply chain while our woodworkers can focus on manufacturing. Read more about Our Custom Design Process. Stop by our showroom to see our handcrafted, heirloom-quality items firsthand.
Our residential furniture pieces are finished with a durable coat of pre-catalyzed polyurethane. Commercial clients usually choose a commercial-grade finish due to the frequency of cleaning; however, residential customers have the option to select either a standard finish that withstands the demands of daily wear and tear (included in price) or a commercial-grade finish (for an additional cost).
All of our furniture items are crafted to heirloom quality. What does that mean? For us, this means that we prioritize quality throughout the whole process - from idea to delivery or installation in your business.
For you, heirloom quality means your patrons will enjoy your custom-made items for generations to come. How? Every piece we offer is meticulously designed and handcrafted by our team of experts and woodworkers. With proper care, you can be sure that each piece you invest in will last for a lifetime's worth of memories!
We specialize in live edge, barnwood, and river / epoxy furniture and décor. We compete on quality and unique designs. Our most popular products (locally) are tables, kitchen countertops, mantels, pub tables, desks, vanities, shelving, and kitchen islands. However, we sell much more, and we can create items in any design style and any wood type. Many of our items would be considered farmhouse, industrial, and even modern, but we also do traditional and other styles. Please check our website to see our full list of products, or visit our 10,000 sq. ft. showroom.
We believe in the old adage: You get what you pay for. Each of our pieces, handcrafted from top-quality, solid wood and steel materials by select woodworkers in Ohio, is proof. They are designed and built to heirloom quality and are made to last a lifetime. You won’t find yourself purchasing another table because of a flawed design or shoddy workmanship. Instead, you’ll be able to pass your investment down to the next generation and beyond!
We currently sell only residential and commercial. We do not offer wholesale at this time; however, if the right opportunity arises, we would consider it. We've outfitted restaurants with custom booths / seating, cabinetry, shelving, tables, barn doors, and brackets. We've even done a few river serving carts and hostess stations. If you only need a few stand-out pieces, let us know. Check out some of our commercial projects here.
We started as an online company and have a lot of experience shipping all throughout the US. For our larger items, we prefer White Glove Delivery to the lower 48 states; however, we would consider requests for shipping outside the lower 48 states.
Yes. We have a 10,000 sq. ft. showroom in Perkiomenville, PA, and we invite you to stop by and visit our warehouse during our regular business hours. We also take virtual appointments. (We ship nationwide except to Alaska and Hawaii.)
When you visit our warehouse you’ll find a wide variety of handcrafted, American-Made furniture and decor including benches, coffee tables, dining tables (barnwood, live edge, walnut), pub tables, sofa tables, desks, and more. Yes, we sell reclaimed barnwood. We sell beams for mantels and other uses. We also sell boards for walls and other projects. You can find reclaimed barnwood elsewhere, but we are one of a few suppliers that offer it kiln-dried and prepared to your liking. Kiln-dried not only lasts longer but it stabilizes the wood and eliminates critters.
Yes, we do extend discounts to our local customers. We love meeting potential customers face-to-face, and when you come by our showroom/warehouse, you can get close up and get a firsthand look at our beautifully handcrafted furniture and decor.
Climate Control & Light
Do not place your new wooden furniture in direct sunlight. Over time, UV rays can bleach and damage the integrity of the wood.
Place your wooden furniture away from heat sources such as fireplaces, radiators, or heating vents. Regular exposure to heat will eventually dry and warp the wood.
-
Avoid significant fluctuations in temperature and humidity which cause the wood to expand and shrink. Use a dehumidifier or humidifier to maintain a more stable climate. The ideal climate for wooden furniture is a consistent 60-80˚F and 30-60% humidity, all year.
-
Regular Care
Use placemats, tablecloths, trivets, and coasters for tables. While our wooden furniture has a durable finish, heat, and moisture can cause damage to any wood surface.
-
Avoid the use of rubber and plastics on wooden furniture. As plastics break down, they can bleach their color onto the wood’s surface and chemically damage the finish.
-
Maintenance and Cleaning
Dust your wooden furniture frequently. Dust with the grain of the wood to maintain the integrity of the natural wood design.
Microfiber cloths are best at trapping dirt but any soft cloth can be used to dust your furniture. Refold the cloth often to avoid redepositing dust back onto the surface.
Avoid spray polishes. Repeated use causes a build-up of the polish which dulls the surface of your furniture.
Consistently use the same type of polish on your wooden furniture. Using a wax-based polish and an oil-based polish interchangeably can result in a cloudy or streaked appearance on your wood finish.
Only use cleaning products that are designed for the finish applied to your particular piece of wood. When in doubt, a soft cloth moistened with water and a drop of detergent will adequately clean most wooden surfaces. To regularly clean a frequently used wooden surface, such as a dining table, a mixture of 1 tablespoon of distilled white vinegar to 1 cup of water will help remove normal daily residue.
-
Never saturate your wooden surfaces. When using a moistened wet cloth to clean your wood, immediately rinse and dry the surface when you are finished.
Powder-coated metals may be cleaned with a clean, damp cloth.
