Warranty and Defective or Damaged Product Information

Our products are built to last a lifetime. Each item from Rustic Red Door is handcrafted by select American woodworkers ​who take great care in building heirloom-quality furniture. 


We stand by your investment, so we offer a ​One Year Limited Warranty for our wood furniture (tables, quilt hangers, benches, etc.) and steel hardware. If there is a defect with the material or construction, we will repair or replace the item. (See ​Defective or Damaged Item ​below)

As solid wood breathes, it expands and contracts with normal temperature and humidity changes. These fluctuations will not affect the integrity or beauty of your furniture. However, extreme humidity, high or low, and exposure to extreme heat sources can affect solid wood furniture; therefore, proper care and use are essential for preserving your rights under this warranty.


Please follow these guidelines for wood furniture:


  • Keep your home’s relative humidity between 30% and 60% all year. 

  • Keep your home’s temperature between 60° and 80° all year.

  • Avoid placing any furniture in close proximity to an extreme heat source.  

  • For long-lasting protection, we apply a catalyzed polyurethane finish as our standard finish. This will stand up to general household use including spills, warm/cold plates, and cups*.  

 

*Commercial Use: For heavy use and commercial applications, we offer urethane and oil finishes at an additional cost. Ask us for further details about these heavy use/commercial finish options.

 

This warranty does not cover:

  • Wear and tear

  • Abuse or misuse of the product​ including modifying the product in any way

  • Use of indoor products outdoors (unless specified for outdoor use)

  • Commercial use unless specified for commercial use

  • Seasonal wood expansion/contractions and splits

  • Damage to person or property caused by the misuse or abuse of the product 

 

Steel Table Bases and Wall Brackets


If there is a defect with the material or construction, we will repair or replace the item. (See ​Defective or Damaged Item ​below.)


This warranty does not cover: 

  • Rust or discoloration that develops from scratches or abrasions to the powder-coated finish from handling or cleaning**


Outdoor Furniture

Our Poly Lumber outdoor furniture includes a 20 year warranty! This includes the Dixie Swings and the Outdoor Lounge Furniture.


Cypress and Pine outdoor furniture includes a 4 year warranty. This includes our outdoor frames for swings and the Mission with cushion swing.

Defective or Damaged Items


Contact our Customer Service Representative immediately if you receive a defective or damaged item. You will be required to provide Rustic Red Door Company with:

  • A copy of the original sales receipt

  • Documentation of the defect(s) in craftsmanship

  • A variety of photos taken from various angles depicting the defect(s)/damage

  • A copy of the delivery ticket, if applicable

  • The customer may be responsible for a portion or all of the return shipping costs.
