When a ranch near Yellowstone National Park reached out to Rustic Red Door Co. for 100 barnwood chairs, we knew the stakes were high. They were facing a fast approaching their reopening date for the season and needed high-quality, handcrafted seating that matched the rugged charm of their space.
To make sure they arrived in time for the grand opening, we delivered the Akron Dining Chairs personally, driving them across multiple states and time zones. One of the unexpected perks of owning a business? Sometimes your "office" has wheels, and your route includes some of America's most scenic byways.

After a couple of days on the road, one of our first favorite stops was in the rugged beauty of The Badlands, surrounded by dramatic rock formations and wide-open skies. It felt great to stretch our legs in such amazing scenery!

Artist Point offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the Lower Falls and the vibrant, colorful cliffs of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. This incredible sight was one of this trip's all-time favorites!

Another favorite scene was the Madison River in West Yellowstone, where we soaked in the view of the peaceful flow of water and the surrounding mountains.
📸 Welcome to the Bar N Ranch!
After traveling over 1800 miles, we finally arrived at our destination…and it was well worth the drive! The Bar N Ranch is truly an idyllic Western gateway to Yellowstone, offering cozy lodge and cabin stays, a variety of on‑site activities, tranquil river and wildlife views, hearty dining, and a perfect blend of rustic charm and comfort—all just a stone’s throw from the national park. (Yep! Those are snow flurries in May!)

The Main Lodge at Bar N Ranch features a grand, rustic design with soaring log beams, a roaring stone fireplace, and panoramic views. We would love to come back for several days to enjoy the Ranch and this area of Montana with the rest of our family soon.

Glamping Below the Stars
On our return visit, we hope to enjoy a night or two sleeping outdoors. Under Canvas offers upscale “glamping”—that is, glamorous camping—by blending real comfort with immersive nature: think plush king‑size beds, wood‑burning stoves, ensuite (or shared) hot‑water bathrooms, plus decks for star‑gazing above your tent. In essence: it’s camping you don’t have to rough, combining the adventure of the outdoors with hotel‑like amenities—all under a star‑filled sky.

With the barnwood chairs in place, the Embers Restaurant was ready for its grand opening—each seat offering not just comfort, but a front-row view of Montana’s breathtaking scenery through the expansive windows.
