What types of beds does Rustic Red Door Co. offer?
We handcraft solid wood beds in a range of styles, including panel beds, upholstered beds, live edge beds, log beds, bunk beds, and Murphy and wall beds. Designs range from rustic and farmhouse to modern and contemporary, and many can be customized to fit your bedroom.
Are your beds made from solid wood?
Yes. Our beds are built in the USA from solid hardwood, not particleboard or thin veneers. Solid wood shows natural grain and character, and with proper care it holds up for generations.
What wood types can I choose for my bed?
Most of our beds are available in reclaimed barnwood, brown maple, wormy maple, rustic cherry, rustic hickory, rustic walnut, flat sawn and quartersawn white oak, and painted wood. Options vary by design, so check the wood choices on each product page. Want to see colors in person? Order stain samples.
What bed sizes do you offer?
Most beds come in Queen, King, and California King. Many designs are also available in oversized sizes like Wyoming King, Texas King, Alberta King, and Alaskan King. Available sizes vary by design and are listed on each product page.
What do I need to know about oversized beds?
Oversized mattresses are usually special-ordered. Common sizes are Wyoming King (about 84 x 84 in.), Texas King (about 80 x 98 in.), and Alaskan King (about 108 x 108 in.). Because mattress dimensions vary by brand, please confirm your mattress size with us before ordering so your frame fits perfectly.
Can I customize my bed?
Yes! Many of our beds can be customized with different sizes, wood types, finishes, and design details. Tell us what you have in mind and we'll build it to your specs. Request a custom quote.
How long does it take to receive my bed?
Made-to-order beds typically take about 8–12 weeks to build, plus an additional 2–4 weeks for delivery depending on your location. In-stock beds usually arrive in 2–6 weeks. The lead time for your selection is shown on the product page.
Do you deliver and set up the bed?
Yes. Our beds include free in-home delivery and setup in the lower 48 states. Local delivery and special pricing are available within 60 miles of Perkiomenville, PA. For Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, or expedited shipping, call us at 610-672-6454.
Can I see your beds in person?
Yes! Visit our 10,000 sq. ft. warehouse showroom in Perkiomenville, PA. Not nearby? We're happy to video chat and show you any piece up close, or send extra photos and videos.
Can I reserve my bed with a deposit?
For orders of $3,000 or more, you can reserve your bed with 50% down. Text us at 610-672-6454 to get started. The remaining balance is due once your bed is finished, before it ships. No interest and no application.
What finish do you use on your beds?
We apply a pre-catalyzed polyurethane finish, which helps protect the wood from scratches and everyday wear while showing off its natural grain.
How do I care for my solid wood bed?
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth, wiping with the grain. Keep your bed out of direct sunlight and away from heat vents, radiators, and fireplaces. Solid wood does best in a stable environment, ideally 60–80°F with 30–60% humidity year-round.
Do you offer matching bedroom furniture?
Yes. We build nightstands, dressers, and chests in the same woods and finishes as our beds, so you can create a coordinated bedroom set. Ask us about matching pieces for your bed.
