How many people will your table seat?

Seating depends on shape as much as size. Use these as a starting point: plan at least 24″ of table width per person, and allow 36″ between the table edge and the wall or other furniture — 42″–48″ for optimal spacing. Every table here can be built to a size that isn’t on the list. Send us your room dimensions and we’ll tell you honestly what will fit and still leave walking room.

A custom table deserves seating that belongs to it. We build chairs and benches in the same hardwoods, stains and finishes as your top, so the grain and color read as one set rather than two purchases.

The Pathway Dining Table is available with a solid top or optional extensions to accommodate additional guests. Choose from two or four 12" middle leaves or two 18" end extensions. Can the table leaves and extensions be stored inside the table? +

The Pathway Dining Table can store up to two 12" skirted middle leaves inside the table. If you select four middle leaves, the additional two non-skirted leaves must be stored separately. The 18" end extensions also require storage outside the table. We recommend keeping any externally stored leaves in a clean, dry, climate-controlled space.

How many people can sit at the Pathway Dining Table? +

A general guideline is to allow approximately 24 inches of table length per person for comfortable seating. For example, an 8-foot table can typically seat three to four people along each side, depending on chair width and base placement.
