This gorgeous craftsman home has so many amazing custom features! We had the opportunity to work with an extremely talented client on this project who happens to be an architect. We were able to work together to develop a look fitting of the amazing home they are renovating. Take a look at how wonderful it turned out!
Maple Cabinetry in Distressed White
They wanted a kitchen that had more of a farmhouse feel to it, so we helped them to create some custom pieces! Instead of using quartersawn white oak, they opted for solid maple cabinetry. To create a distressed look, we used white paint and a black powder glaze.
Other than the "standard" cabinets, they wanted a corner cabinet, pull out spice rack, cutting board drawer over the waste/trash can, and corner shelving to ease the transition as they walk in and out of the hallways. Keep scrolling to see these photos below!
Quartersawn White Oak Countertops
To pair with the distressed white cabinets, they wanted a warm, yet cooler tone on top. We helped them create quartersawn white oak countertops with a grey oil-based finish. It gives the cabinets a wonderful contrast.
Quartersawn White Oak Shelves
Our customer wanted to continue to match their wood choice with more quartersawn white oak. They wanted some smaller shelves that could fit perfectly on smaller wall spaces. We also helped them to create a few different steel brackets.
Quartersawn Oak Dining Table, Chairs, and Bench
Below, you can see their new dining table, chairs, and benches! This table was inspired by our Holbrooke table - but instead of cherry, they wanted it in quartersawn white oak! This farmhouse extendable table with a beautiful base has turnbuckle rods that add a touch of industrial design, while increasing the table's stability.
For the dining seats, we have a side chair, two arm chairs, and a bench. For the bench, our customer wanted to match the table, so we made a custom piece for them! The variety of seats makes it great to seat extra guests.
Reclaimed Barnwood Beam
To finish it off, they needed one more piece to hold their decor gracefully. We created a custom reclaimed barnwood beam to warm up the home with its natural features.
