Top 10 Custom Furniture Projects of 2025
At Rustic Red Door, every project begins with a story—of materials, craftsmanship, and the people who will live with each piece for years to come. In 2025, we had the privilege of bringing that story to life through a wide range of custom solid wood furniture and architectural builds, from heirloom dining tables and reclaimed barnwood seating to large-scale hospitality projects and deeply personal, client-supplied wood transformations.
Our Top 10 Projects of 2025 represent the best of what we do: custom design, sustainable materials, thoughtful engineering, and hands-on service that extends well beyond the shop. These projects traveled across the country—from Pennsylvania to Minnesota, New York to Yellowstone—each one tailored to its space, purpose, and people.
Whether it was crafting furniture from a tree harvested on a customer’s own property, delivering 100 reclaimed wood chairs by hand to a Wyoming restaurant, or creating rooms layered with barnwood and live edge details, this year’s projects highlight our commitment to building pieces that are as meaningful as they are functional.
Below, we’re proud to share the ten projects that defined 2025 for Rustic Red Door—each one a reflection of timeless materials, skilled craftsmanship, and a belief that well-made furniture should last a lifetime.
#1 Custom Live Edge Walnut Dining Table — Salt Lake City, UT
This handcrafted live edge walnut dining table, delivered to a stunning mountain-view home near Salt Lake City, displays both rustic charm and architectural elegance. Preserving the slab’s natural live edge and organic imperfections was a deliberate choice—allowing the wood’s story to remain visible from its earliest form to its final heirloom state.
What elevates this build is the twisted X steel base — a sculptural statement that balances the wood’s organic character with modern industrial flair. Designed to echo the expressive lines of the live edge, the steel base lends strength, contrast, and a timeless aesthetic that anchors the space.
